Book Preview: "Darkenbane: The Fountain"
“You must follow your heart"
for the answers you seek may save us all yet.”
A brass key…
A note…
A handsome stranger near a fountain in an abandoned courtyard.
On a sultry New Orleans evening, Jasmine takes these only clues to her identity and follows them to a place she’d thought only existed in dreams and ancient faery tales.
Through a doorway in time, Hayden has come from the dangers of his dying kingdom to the most beautiful woman he’s ever known. Bound by his royal blood to retrieve the lost prophecies of his people and end a war, he soon finds his quest, his destiny, and his love are all entwined with Jasmine more than anyone ever knew.
REVIEW
The revelations in the last few chapters of the book make you stare at the pages with your mouth hanging open... I love the author's quick wit and she really shined through the heroine of the story. This book quickly became one of my favorites.

EXCERPT
“You don’t understand,” his voice was strong and sure as he captured her hands in his and pulled her toward the falls like they might escape together. “I can’t abide by any more rules. Without love, there is no future in my eyes.”
His words cut deep into her heart and made it all the more painful for her. She jerked away from his grasp and darted beneath the water to the moonlight on the other side.
The pale rays glistened off her wet skin and she looked desperately for the path that she knew was there just a short amount of time ago. There was no clear means of escape in view.
With no other choice, she slowly turned to face the mouth of the cave and the man who had followed her through.
Hayden stood with his back to the waterfall and his dark blonde hair was plastered to his cheeks. His dress jacket had definitely seen the worse for wear, and she watched with fascination as he unbuttoned it and cast it to the ground without a care. He wore a plain white tunic underneath the military garb and it clung damply to his impressive physique in short order.
Despite her resolution to be gone from his life and save him any conflict, she stood entranced as he approached her in the deserted glade.
